Experts E&I Begins 2026 with a Major Gas Chromatograph Upgrade Success

We’re proud to close 2025 with the successful completion of a prestigious analyzer upgrade project, delivered on time and without compromise, despite strong competition from major market players. The achievement reflects our technical expertise, disciplined execution, and commitment to engineering excellence.

Experts E&I upgraded seven legacy Foxboro gas chromatographs to ABB PGC 5000 GCs, integrating them seamlessly with existing sampling systems. The solution enhanced measurement accuracy, reliability, and long-term analytical performance, while meeting evolving operational and regulatory requirements.

The retrofit was carried out in a live operating plant, demanding precise planning to avoid process interruptions. Complex MTBE stream line-ups, high sample temperatures, DCS integration, tight shutdown windows, and stringent safety requirements were all successfully managed – along with operator training and a smooth transition to the upgraded GC technology.
