First-of-its-Kind RVP Analyzer Installation for Naphtha and Gas Oil at ADNOC Refining

Delivering automated, compliant, and process-safe analytical solutions from scratch

ADNOC Refining sought to modernize its naphtha and gas oil analysis capabilities with a first-of-its-kind RVP analyzer installation across RR-I and RR-III, covering segregated light and heavy naphtha storage. The system needed to meet ATEX, AGES/DGS, and hazardous area compliance standards, enable automated sample handling, and ensure uninterrupted operations—all within tight project timelines.

Leveraging our in-house Manufacturing & Integration Division, Experts E & I delivered a complete end-to-end solution. Two advanced RVP analyzers were designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned in ATEX-certified, air-conditioned cabinets. The solution featured a fast loop sample handling system, sample recovery, chillers, blind flanges, and automated validation, ensuring safe, continuous operation without manual intervention. A fire & gas detection system was also integrated to enhance operational safety.

The project included full lifecycle documentation, covering BOM, datasheets, wiring diagrams, and SPF-ready as-builts. Our team executed FAT, site installation, commissioning, and operator training in full compliance with ADNOC standards.

By building the system from the ground up, overcoming tight deadlines and full compliance requirements, the project now provides accurate, automated, and compliant monitoring of naphtha and gas oil, significantly reducing operational risks, enhancing safety, and showcasing the capabilities of our state-of-the-art in-house manufacturing and integration facility.
